Throughout history bonsai has been an art form dominated by men. These women have broken through the barrier and have chosen to make the bonsai arts their life and profession. You can support them by purchasing their art, or hiring them for workshops or demonstrations/presentations.

Kusamono
Kusamono artists plant herbaceous and woody plants in containers as artistic representations of landscapes that can suggest a particular place seen in nature.

Scrolls
Hanging scrolls, or Kakejiku, can be displayed with bonsai or Kusamono to further convey a sense of place or the current season.
